Ideas are wonderful things, and as such they are worth safekeeping. Instead of piling them up and storing them away to be forever forgotten Manufakture’s Pinboard allows you to display them proudly to the world (and yourself).
Our pin boards are painstakingly hand made in our Copenhagen studios and are available in three sizes as standard. SMALL (67,5 x 94,5 cm) MEDIUM (94,5 x 135 cm) and LARGE (120 x 175 cm). Materials to choose from are Mahogany, Ash, Oak and Oregon pine.

Legacy of Danish Craftmanship
Manufakture is based on the notion of quality in detail and all items are made by craftsmen in Denmark.
The frame of all Pinboards is made of solid wood and the canvas of 100% pure linen cloth. The wood is supplied by a quality wood provider on the countryside of Sealand. All wood is certified and picked to meet our standards. The logs of wood have been cut into planks at a sawmill. These planks are delivered to our workshop where they are initially cut and planed for the further process.
As natural material there will always be variations in colour and graining of the wood. For each pinboard the pieces of wood are selected to match eachother in expression and colour. All in order to provide a final univocal expression. The corners of the frame meets in a 45 degree cut, which is cut by the use of a Morsø manual cutter. The linen cloth is glued onto the pinboard by hand.
On the reverse side of the pinboard there is a wooden frame for the hanging. This provides the unique hidden hanging and also makes it possible to hang the pinboard on all four sides. Hanging for the wall is supplied with each Pinboard.
Once finished each Pinboard is treated with wax or oil depending on the wood: Oregon pine is given oil, whereas oak and ash is given wax. The treatment suitable for indoor use lifts the wooden structure and glow.
